Day wise Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival at NJP Station/Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling

You will be picked up and driven to Darjeeling from Bagdogra Airport (IXB), New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP), or Tenzing Norgay Bus Stand (Junction). After traveling 75 km by road in around three hours, arrive at Darjeeling and check into the hotel. The evening is free. Stay the night in Darjeeling.

DAY 2: Darjeeling Local sightseeing

Visit Tiger Hill, Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop, and the War Memorial in the early morning. After breakfast, return to the hotel and go sightseeing at the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, the Padmaja Naidu National Park, Tenzing Rock, the Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center, the Japanese Temple, the Peace Pagoda, the Darjeeling Ropeway, the Happy Valley Tea Estate, etc. Dinner and overnight stay in Darjeeling.

DAY 3: Go to Mirik and Pasupati Sightseeing

After breakfast, travel to Mirik and Pasupati for a sightseeing tour. Bokar Monastery, Mirik Lake, Don Bosco Church, Tamang Monastery, and Tingling Viewpoint are all worth exploring in Mirik. Enjoy boating and horseback riding at Mirik Lake and nearby. Visit Pashupati next to see the Pashupati Market and Pashupatinath Temple, among other places. After dinner, return to the hotel in Darjeeling and enjoy a wonderful night.

DAY 4: Transfer to NJP/ Bagdogra

You will be checking out from the hotel after breakfast. You will be driven to drop you off. To get to the station in less than two hours, head to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Junction (NJP).

DAY 1: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok

As you begin with your majestic journey, you will first arrive at NJP or Bagdogra Airport where you will encounter the astounding allurement of the heavenly land of Sikkim. To guide your excitement, our amiable representative will be waiting for your welcome at the airport who will further govern your transfer to enchanting Gangtok which is 1437 m above sea level. After 4 hours of driving, you can enjoy the warmth of your hotel room as you check in. Moreover, if you are too excited to embrace the cultured city, you can wander in the streets of MG Marg and observe the local lifestyle. At night, enjoy your piping hot supper and relax in your snug bedding.

 DAY 2: Gangtok (Full day local sightseeing)

It’s the second day of your excursion, and you should be energised for the awaiting adventure. Today, it’s all about Gangtok and its awe-inspiring sights. Bakthang Waterfall At the distance of 3 km from Gangtok, Bakthang Waterfall will be your first stop which is an eyecatching attraction that no tourist ever want to miss. Flowing from Ratey Chu, it is a broad waterfall that creates a soothing environment for the visitors to enjoy. Tashi Viewpoint Subsequently, you can observe the glorious Himalayas from Tashi Viewpoint that will be your binocular to scrutinise the seeking view of snow peaks. Moreover, keep your camera’s panoramic setting on because this is the right spot to capture the entire beauteous landscape. Ganesh Tok Just wish that it’s a clear day because it’s only on the bright clear days that you can have the most awesome view of the place. Enchey Monastery Your next destination of the day is a 200 years old monastery which was initially established as a small gompa by a tantric artist and renowned exponent among highlander Buddhists, Lama DrupthobKarpo. Enchey Monastery literally means “the Solitary Temple” which now is home to almost 90 monks. Tourists are quite fascinated by the place because it accommodates a number of religious objects and presents Tibetan culture in a beguiling manner. Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom Now, it is time for you to admire the local art and talent depicted through the Handicrafts in this Directorate which is located at the ‘Zero’ point of the city. Here you can buy the majestic artefacts such as Thanka painting, traditional carpets, wooden carved and colourfully painted sculptures and much more. Do DrulChorten Stupa Standing proudly on the hill Hock, Do DrulChorten, also known as Phurba, is your next station which is also the biggest stupa of Sikkim. This shrine was constructed in 1945 and is encircled with 108 prayer wheels from which visitors gain divine blessings. Institute of Tibetology After your spiritual tour, it is time for you to grasp some cultural and educative values of Tibet. One of the most significant institutions of the world, the Institute of Tibetology is that centre where many scholars research on the Tibetan language and tradition. Furthermore, you can know more about Life-at-Tibet through valuable material kept in the museum and Tibetan library that has preserved innumerable rich collections of the studies. Flower Show As an integral part of aesthetic festivity, the locals of Gangtok organise a celebration in the name of Sikkim’s diverse vegetation. The flower show is the International Flower Festival which is celebrated every peak season of blooming. In the fete, the perfect blend of Gangtok’s topography is mirrored when breathtaking blossoms are showcased at a place from every corner of Sikkim. This is a mustvisit and stupendous moment for every nature lover. Ropeway & Banjhakri Falls Last but not the least, you will be enthralled by the bounteous attractiveness of the place when you will travel through Ropeway to reach Banjhakri Falls which is 70 ft tall waterfall surrounded by lush greenery of dense forest. This waterfall ascribes the natives because of their belief that it has all the healing and magical power like any other sacred place.  DAY 3: Gangtok (Tsomgo Lake Excursion and Baba Mandir)

Wake up all fresh because it is the last day to create an adventurous experience. To enjoy the place eventfully, you need to be ready early in the morning, say 8 am, as you will visit two of the most beautiful and illustrious sites of Gangtok. Tsomgo Lake Lost in the lofty mountains at the height of 12,400 ft above sea level your first stop would be Tsomgo Lake, a paradise for travel savvy. After 3 hours of long drive, you will encounter the ‘holy source of water’ hallowed by native people. The picturesque view of the lake will not allow you to put your camera down because this view is something you want to preserve for ages. Baba HarbhajanMandir Finally, it is time to remember the eminent personality of Indian Army, Captain Harbhajan Singh who is known for his unusual story. He is that significant soldier who is still believed to be with us even after his tragic death in the Indo-Pak war of 1965. At the altitude of 4000 m, every Indian worships this a pure soul in a shrine named after him as Baba Harbhajan Mandir. At the end of your day, you can go back to your hotel to consume mouth-watering food and have a sound sleep because tomorrow you have to get up early in the morning to depart to your ordinary life.

DAY 4: Gangtok – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport

It is the day when you will head back to your regular place. Have good food, pack your bags and take care of your stuff while you travel towards NJP/IXB. On the way back, recollect all the memories of the considerable range of climate and altitudes and great calmness of Gangtok.

Day wise Itinerary

DAY 1: New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) – Gangtok (130 km/4 hour drive)

Once you reach the NJP/Bagdogra, you will be received by our representative with a warm welcome. He will drive you to Gangtok. Check in at the hotel. Freshen up and take some rest. Remaining day at leisure. In the evening, you can visit the MG Marg, the main street of Gangtok. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2: Gangtok full day sightseeing

After a delicious breakfast, embark on a journey to explore the famous attractions of Gangtok, the capital city of Sikkim. Located at an elevation of 1,650 m, Gangtok is also the gateway to Sikkim. First, visit the Bakthang Waterfalls which is quite wide and a great spot to take photographs. Next, you head to Tashi viewpoint for capturing far-reaching views of Mt. Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountains in the world. This point is also known for great sunrise views. Then head for Ganesh Tok, the Charming Hindu temple with mesmerizing hilltop views. After this, visit the Enchey Monastery which is believed to be the home of the protecting deities, Khangchendzonga and Yabdean. Enjoy a cable car ride on the Ropeway and catch the bird’s eye view of the surroundings. Other Gangtok attractions to be covered are Directorate of Handicraft and Handloom, Do Drul Chorten Stupa, Institute of Tibetology, Flower Show, and Banjhakri Falls. After sightseeing, drive back to the hotel. Stay overnight at the hotel.

DAY 3: Gangtok (Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir)

Get ready for an exciting day today! Start the early morning at around 8 am to reach the pristine Tsomgo Lake located at an elevation of 3750 m and is around 3-hour drive from Gangtok. It is an irresistible waterbody which owes its charm to the snow-covered mountains and wild flowers in its surroundings. It is considered sacred by Hindus as well as Buddhists. In winter it gets frozen and in spring it comes back to life with blooming flowers in its surroundings. After enjoying yourself at the Lake, drive to Baba Harbhajan Mandir which is dedicated to a brave Indian soldier, Baba Harbhajan Singh who sacrificed his life while performing his duty. After completing the excursion, go back to the hotel in Gangtok. Remaining day at leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel. Note: You can also visit Nathula Pass on the same day at an additional cost. Nathula Pass is a great destination for adventure and mountain lovers as it is one of the highest motorable passes in the world. It is also an old trading border post connecting Tibet and India.

DAY 4: Gangtok – Darjeeling (4 Hour Drive/110 KM)

After breakfast, start your journey to Darjeeling, the Queen of Hills. Once you reach Darjeeling, our representative will assist you to check in at the hotel at Darjeeling. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 5: Darjeeling (full day sightseeing)

 This day will bring you a great experience as you explore the famous attractions of Darjeeling. It is a dreamy destination located at an elevation of 2,042 meters in West Bengal. Today start early in the morning at around 4 am to visit the famous tourist destination of Darjeeling- Tiger Hill. It attracts visitors from far and wide for its breathtaking views of the sunrise over Mt. Kanchenjunga. It is the highest point in the town. Next, visit Batasia Loop, a spiral railway track in a picturesque location, and Ghoom Monastery. Have breakfast on the way to the next attraction-the Japanese Temple. It is a revered pilgrimage of Buddhist known for its exquisite Japanese architecture. The other Darjeeling attractions which will be covered today are Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park(closed on Thursday), Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Tenzing Rock, Peace Pagoda and Chitrey Tea Garden(outer view). Spend the evening at MG Road, the main street of Darjeeling. Note: Toy Train can be done on the same day at an additional cost.

DAY 6: Darjeeling – New Jalpaiguri Railway Station (NJP)/Bagdogra Airport (IXB) (88 km/3-hour drive)

Today marks the end of your tour! Check out from the hotel and depart for NJP/IXB with great memories.

DAY 1: Bagdogra Airport/NJP to Gangtok Darjeeling

 Tour Plan for 7 Days includes your pick-up from Bagdogra Airport/NJP. The driver from the pick-up point will drive you to Gangtok. Sikkim’s capital city, Gangtok, is located at a height of 1670 meters (5480 feet). Gangtok is regarded as the most popular destination in India. In the evening, visit neighborhood shopping malls and MG Road. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

DAY 2: Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Visit After an early breakfast, you will be paying visit to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir to take in the breathtaking natural splendor and the chilly, tranquil lake. One of the sacred lakes in this region is Tsomgo Lake. This location’s beauty is greatly enhanced by the Primula flowers, other alpine plantations, and the Lord Shiva temple located next to a lake. Up until April, this lake is still frozen. Back to the hotel for your dinner and night stay.

DAY 3: Gangtok to Pelling Transfer

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and bid Gangtok farewell. You will be transferring to Pelling. Pelling is located at a distance of 2072 meters above sea level. Take in the stunning grandeur of the snow-covered mountains, such as Pandim, Kumbhakarna, Rathong, Kanchenjunga, Zopuno, and Simbho while you travel to Pelling. Enjoy evening at your own terms. Dinner and night stay in Pelling.

DAY 4: Go for Pelling Sightseeing

 After an early breakfast, Pelling sightseeing will be conducted. Visit the Rimbi Waterfall, the Rimbi Rock Garden, and the holy Buddhist Lake Khecheopalri Lake, where it is said that wishes made in front of the lake are granted. Visit Khecheopalri Monastery, the Kanchenjunga waterfalls, Pemayangtse Monastery, the Rabdantse ruins, and take in the breathtaking views of the mysterious Kanchenjunga ranges from the top of the ruins afterwards. Spend the night in Pelling.

DAY 5: Pelling to Darjeeling Transfer

You will be transferred to Darjeeling today after having your breakfast at the hotel in Pelling. Once you are in Darjeeling, check into your pre-booked hotel. Have some rest in your cozy room. Spend the evening at complete leisure. Have your dinner and night stay in Darjeeling.

DAY 6: Go for Darjeeling Sightseeing

Before the dawn visit Tiger Hill to witness a jaw-dropping sunrise over the snow-covered Kanchenjunga. On the way back, visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop and War Memorial. Day 06: Transfer to Darjeeling

Best Time to Visit Darjeeling & Gangtok

March to June

The summer months offer pleasant weather, making it an ideal time for sightseeing, trekking, and outdoor activities

September to December:

After the monsoon, the region clears up, and the landscape is lush and green. It is an excellent time for mountain views and exploring the monasteries.
