Day wise Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Srinagar

Welcome to the Srinagar, The Lake City. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, being your tour of ‘Valve of Kashmir’ You will be transferred to Houseboat. After check in enjoy a romantic ‘shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Overnight stay at the Houseboat.

Day 02: Srinagar | Day Excursion to Gulmarg (85 kms / approx. 3½ hour drive)

Early morning proceed to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast flowing streams and lush green meadows. Gulmarg – the meadow of flowers is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden meadow offering a spectacular view of towering snowcapped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers and gigantic fir and pine trees. Stroll leisurely or take pony rides (by your own payment) across the green meadow to one of the world’s highest Golf Course. A must is a fun-filled ride in the newly introduced Gondola lift (by your own payment). Return to Srinagar in the evening and enjoy a comfortable overnight stay at hotel.

Day 03: Srinagar | Day Excursion to Pahalgam (102 kms / approx. 3½ hour drive)

Early in the morning leave for Pahalgam the ‘valley of shepherds’ which is situated at the confluence of the streams flowing from river Lidder and Sheeshnag Lake. En route visit the Awantipura ruins, an 1100-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu and built by King Awantivarman. On arrival into Pahalgam enjoy the surrounding beauty or walk to Baisaren, which is about 2 km from Pahalgam. A small village set in pine and fir forest is pleasing and offers good view. In the evening back to Srinagar. Night halt at Hotel in Srinagar.

Day 04: Return home with happy memories

Day wise Itinerary

DAY 1: Arrival in Srinagar

Upon your arrival in Srinagar, our representative will welcome you and help you transfer to your hotel or houseboat. Once you reach there, finish the check-in procedure, take some rest and begin your half day sightseeing tour. The first sightseeing spot in your 4 night 5 days magical Kashmir trip itinerary is Mughal Gardens such as Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and other beautiful gardens located on the Eastern Bank of Dal Lake. They are one of the most popular and the most visited tourist attractions of Srinagar. The gardens are known for their Mughal-era architecture and grandeur. The lush green grass and the scented flowers fill this place with serenity and calm. You can take long strolls in the garden with your loved ones or choose to sit and admire the beauty of the place. Also, visit Tulip Garden. It is the largest tulip garden in the Asian region. It is beautifully set in the foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range and overlooks the mesmerizing Dal Lake. The garden house has 48 varieties of tulips and magnetizes tourists from around the globe. Later head to Chashme Shahi. It is one of the three Mughal gardens in Srinagar and is known for its natural spring. The garden remains accessible from March to November month. Just above Chashme Shahi garden is another marvel – Pari Mahal, It is a seven-terraced garden and is popular as an abode of fairies or the home of angels. You can spot colourful flowers and exotic fruit plantations here. Later in the late evening, you can take a relaxing 1-hour Shikara ride at Dal Lake. Indulge in capturing some beautiful pictures of the lake that has Himalayan peaks in the backdrop and a carpet of lotus flowers surrounding it. Return to the hotel or houseboat for dinner and a night’s stay.

DAY 2: Day Excursion to Sonamarg (79.4 km., 2 hours 30 minutes, Height 2730m)

On Day 2, you will be taking a day tour of Sonamarg. So, begin your morning with an early breakfast and then leave for your day tour. The journey towards Sonamarg is as beautiful as the destination itself. You will drive along a gushing river that flows down from snowy heights into the dense woodlands of firs and silver birches. You can also visit Thajiwas Glacier located at an altitude of 9,186 feet. This place is enormous and blessed with magnificent beauty. The glaciers covered with snow make it the most scenic destination to visit. Adventure enthusiasts can indulge in adrenaline rush activities such as camping, trekking, horse riding, sledging, angling, alpine skiing and white-water rafting. All of these activities can be done at your own cost. You can also enjoy leisurely walks around the meadow, it is known as “Meadow of Gold”. For nature lovers, Sonamarg offers the chance to unwind amidst its scenic vistas. End your day by heading back to your hotel or houseboat in Srinagar for dinner and a night stay.

 DAY 3: Day Excursion to Pahalgam (88.0 km., 2 hours 21 minutes, Height 2740m)

 Today, you will be taking a day trip to Pahalgam. So, have an early breakfast, and be ready for a beautiful road trip to the valley of Pahalgam. En route visit Saffron fields and Avantipura Cricket bat factory. Take a leisurely stroll at the Saffron fields amidst colourful purple flowers and mesmerizing vistas. On reaching Pahalgam, begin your sightseeing tour with a visit to Lidder valley at your own cost. The picturesque valley offers an eye-pleasing view with Lidder River cascading across it. Enjoy vast green landscapes in the backdrop of Himalayan peaks while praising the unmatched beauty of nature. Optionally, you can also explore other sightseeing places such as:

Option 1: Visit Aru Valley which is an enthralling village situated 15 km upstream of the Lidder River. It is a base camp for trekking to the Kolhoi Glacier and Tarsar Lake. The valley is popular for its stunning views of scenic meadows, lakes and mountains and activities like horse riding, hiking and trekking.

Option 2: Visit Chandanwari; it is the starting point of sacred Amarnath Yatra. You can also enjoy snow sledging on a snow bridge here or simply choose to relax in amidst nature’s beauty. En route, you can pay a visit to Hajan which is a popular picnic spot and Betaab Valley which is a famous film shooting location.

Option 3: You can also go slow paced and enjoy the day relaxing and sitting alongside River Lidder. Nature lovers can enjoy leisurely walks in the pine forest alongside the river.

Option 4: Visit Baisaran meadow and have fun horse riding across the valley. The place is popularly referred to as mini-Switzerland. The meadows are fringed by pine forests with snow-capped mountain peaks in the backdrop. After touring Pahalgam, head back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight stay are in the hotel at Srinagar.

DAY 4: Day Excursion to Gulmarg (136.7 km. / 3 hrs. 46 minutes, Height 2650m)

Yet another road trip is on your itinerary on Day 4. Have an early breakfast and get ready for a funfilled day ahead. You can enjoy leisurely walks with your loved one on the lush green meadows and with the picturesque backdrop of snow-capped mountains. If weather permits, you can also catch a glimpse of Nanga Parbhat, the ninth-highest mountain in the world. The day is at leisure but you can opt to tour around at your own cost. Indulge in skiing, a popular activity in the valley. The terrain of Gulmarg is also ideal for skiing and known for having the best Ski slopes in the world. You can also check out the 18 holes golf course which is the highest golf course of the world. You can also try your hand at slow-sledging at the highest mountain peak of Gulmarg. This will be your fun-filled activity day. The next activity on your magical Kashmir tour itinerary for 4 nights 5 days will be a Gondola ride or pony ride to Khillanmarg. The ride is the second-highest cable ride in the world and tourists from around the globe come to experience the ride. It offers a magnificent view of the Himalayan Mountain Ranges. You can also take a short 3 to 4 hours trek up to Khilanmarg. Chair lifts for mountain rides are also available. Post this tiring day, return to Srinagar for a night stay and a hot dinner meal.

DAY 5: Departure from Srinagar

This brings you to the end of your Kashmir holiday package. After your breakfast at the hotel, our representative will escort you to the Srinagar airport for your journey back home.

Day 01 Arrive Srinagar

Welcome to the Srinagar, The Lake City. On arrival at Srinagar Airport, being your tour of ‘Exotic Kashmir’. You will be transferred to Houseboat. After lunch enjoy a romantic ‘shikara ride on the Dal Lake. Overnight stay at the Houseboat.

Day 02: In Srinagar | Day Excursion to Gulmarg (85 kms / approx. 3-hour drive)

 We proceed to Gulmarg (60kms/2hrs drive) the scenic tour destination in Kashmir, primarily famous for ski slopes and natural 18 holes golf course, which is also the highest golf course in the world. Enjoy the splendor of nature and the snowy mountains. One can have Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Kongdoori & Marry Shoulder. In evening drive back to Srinagar and enjoy overnight stay at the Hotel in Srinagar.

 Day 3: In Srinagar | Day Excursion to Sonmarg (90 kms / approx. 3-hour drive)

Today you embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘meadow of gold’ Sonmarg. The fastflowing Sindh River makes it popular for trout and mahseer fishing in summer. You can opt for a pony ride to one of the glaciers for some fun in snow and ice (by your own payment). Return to the Hotel in Srinagar in the evening and enjoy comfortable Stay.

Day 04: On to Pahalgam | Srinagar – Pahalgam (102 kms / approx. 3½ hour drive)

After healthy breakfast at the hotel, checkout and transfer on wheel to Pahalgam (90 Kms/2hrs) a lovely tourist spot in Kashmir also addresses as Valley of Shepherds. Pahalgam 2440 Mtrs (vale of Kashmir) on the way visit Saffron fields, Avantipur ruins and Anantnag sulphur spring. Pahalgam is the most famous place for Indian Film Industry. Enjoy the nature charm of the valley. Pahalgam is also famous for its alpine treks, nature walk and is also the central point of Amaranth Yatra. Night stay in pahalgam.

Day 5: In Srinagar Local Sightseeing | Pahalgam to Srinagar for Local Sightseeing – Mughal Gardens

Today after having breakfast we drive to visit the famous Mughal gardens in Srinagar which are Nishat Bagh (the garden of Pleasure), Shankarcharya Temple, Hazratbal Shrine and Shalimar Bagh (abode of love). These gardens are situated on the banks of Dal Lake. Nishat Bagh is the larger of the two gardens and has an impressive plantation of Chinar trees on its highest terrace. Both the gardens are built on a symmetrical plan of central waterways with fountains dividing a series of gardened terraces. Night stay at Hotel in Srinagar.

6 Nights 7 Days

Day wise Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive in Srinaga

 (Afternoon Local Sightseeing) On your arrival at the Srinagar International Airport, you will be welcomed by our representative who will assist and escort you to your waiting vehicle. From the airport it is a 35 minutes’ drive through the heart of New Srinagar city. The drive takes you past the Abdullah bridge which connects the banks of the Jehlum river, snaking its way towards the North-Western frontier of Kashmir. Today we will do some half a day of local sightseeing that includes a visit to the famous Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Built in between a period of 14 years the two gardens are a heritage left behind by the erstwhile Mughals, whose taste for laying exquisite gardens was fascinating. With a backdrop of the sprawling Zabarwan mountains, the gardens boast of green turfs, blooming flowers and cascading water fountains. We will explore the gardens and later drive for a 02 hrs shikara ride in the lake. This boat ride glides you past some wonderful vegetable gardens and aquatic life. Dinner and overnight in hotel / houseboats

Day 02: Srinagar to Sonamarg

(Day Trip) We begin our second day with a sumptous breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we will drive to the majestic mountain resort of Sonamarg. The route towards Sonamarg takes us on a picturesque country side drive where we will come across rolling hills, green forests, clear water streams and blooming rice fields. We will zoom past the town of Kangan which handles all the local needs of this region. From Kangan, we will drive towards Mammar, famous for its trout farm and stopover for a warm cup of tea before we head towards Sonamarg. We will once again alight from our vehicles at the tourist spot of Gagangir. The spot is built in the middle of the river Sindh and looks like an island with snow glaciers covering one or the other spot. In Sonamarg we will take a 3 hour walk or horseback trip to the Thajwass glacier. After our return we will visit the small town market for some snacks or just pay a visit observing the local people going with thier daily routine. We will drive back to Srinagar in the evening and transfer to the hotel / houseboats for our overnight stay.

Day 03: Srinagar to Pahalgam: (97 kilometers / 3-4 hrs drive)

 We will begin our trip towards Pahalgam and drive on the National Highway 1A. This road connects the Valley to the rest of the country. We drive past the saffron fields of Pampore, the marvellous ruins of Avantipura and the village of Bijbehara which remains famous as the bread basket of Kashmir. You can even sample a few exotic breads sold by vendors near the road. We switch the the national highway at Khanabal and drive through the second largest city of Anantnag. From here the road turns scenic as we drive parallel on the Lidder river flowing from the opposite direction. In Pahalgam we check in at the hotel and later do some nature walks to unwind ourselves. Overnight in hotel.

Day 04: In Pahalgam: (Sightseeing & Overnight stay)

 After breakfast at the hotel, you can opt to spend your day of sightseeing by driving to the picturesque Chandanwari and Betaab valley or ride by horseback across the wildlife sanctuary towards Baisaran meadows. Rest of the day will be at leisure for individual activities. Overnight in hotel.

 Day 05: Pahalgam to Gulmarg: (152 kilometers / 4-5 hrs drive)

After breakfast in the morning, we will begin our country tour towards Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesue market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. We arrive in Gulmarg early in the afternoon and check in at the hotel. Later we will begin a short tour around the meadow familarising ourselves with the beauty. We will stay at the hotel for overnight.

Day 06: In Gulmarg: (Local sightseeing & Overnight stay)

In Gulmarg we will board the Gondola cable car system, and ascend towards the Afarwatt Mountain range. The 08 minutes of ropeway will take you past colorful shepherd hutments to the lower ridge of the Afarwatt peak. From here you can click lots of photos of the nearby mountain ranges that stand tall like sentinels guarding the rich natural beauty of Kashmir valley. We descend back to Gulmarg base after an hour or so and later do some horse-riding to the strawberry valley. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 07: Departure transfer to Airport

After a late morning breakfast, we will drive to the airport for your flight home. On your way to the airport, you can make a brief stopover for some last minute shopping in the city center. At the airport the driver will assist you with your luggage screening and drop you at outside the terminal gate.
